The Funke Sofowote Cancer Fighting Fund Team is organizing a photo exhibition in Abuja , the nation’s capital city, aimed at raising funds in support of victims of Cancer, a growing medical condition in the country.
The event, holding tomorrow (Saturday) September 27, at the Sheraton Hotel, Abuja, will showcase the works of late Sofowote, who was a Cervical Cancer patient, as well as a gifted nature photographer and artist ,who passed on last Thursday in Spain, while the preparations for this exhibition were still ongoing in Nigeria.
Also, on Sunday, a musical concert will hold at the Abuja Transcorp Hilton Hote,l in the evening,
According to the organisers, monies raised at both events will go towards supporting the growing number of patients being treated for Cancer across the country.
“Through a creative fusion of Nature and photography, the late Sofowote acknowledges the greatness of the Almighty in her photographs,as well as through her numerous artistic endeavours
“The Cancer Fighting Team Fund, will now become a Foundation to manage the monies raised in honour of late Funke Sofowote,” the leader of the Team, Dr. Adewale Ogunbadejo, said in a statement, yesterday.
