The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has requested for the release of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Mr. Okey Wali, the immediate past president of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA).

A statement signed by Dr. Peter I. Ozo-Eson, General Secretary, NLC Headquarters read: “We are dismayed by the abduction of Mr. Okey Wali. We appeal to his abductors to release him unconditionally and unharmed.”

According to the statement, “Abduction is a criminal act used to extort money from victims or their families or friends. It is also an unacceptable tool of terror which we must all resist or fight.”
