NIS staff launch 1st gospel music album in kuje

A staff of the Nigeria immigration Service (NIS), in Abuja, Princess Ngozi Chukwu, has launched her first Christian gospel music album christened “Showers of Divine Favour” in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), at the weekend.

Speaking with newsmen during the occasion, the Assistant Comptroller-General of NIS, Mr. Gerald Kanayo Dilibe, who was the chairman of the ceremony, congratulated its staff cum artist, for doing something that would help better the society.

Urging her to continue with her good work, he advised young persons to emulate the young gospel artist, so as to use their talents to touch the lives of others in the society.

He stressed the need for Christian gospel artists to always focus on churning out the music that can change the society for better.

Also, he called on the Christian leaders who are highly placed to deem it fit to assist gospel artists financially to encourage them to continue to glorify God with their talents.

According to him, Christian clerics should engage the gospel artists at their various churches as along as their gospel music albums are geared towards praising God.

On her part, Princes Chukwu, pointed out that, she went into the gospel music due to the special joy she derives from singing.

“‘Showers of Divine Favour’ is my first album, and I will not relent in glorifying God through putting together inspiring gospel music album,” she said.

Chukwu, who is also an undergraduate student of Education Management at the University of Abuja, however, pleaded with the government to assist the less privileged youth financially, to enable them to maximize their inherent potentials for the betterment of the society.
