PDP inaugurates convention committee

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Adamu Mu’azu,  yesterday inaugurated the party national convention planning committee scheduled for December 10.

The convention committee is headed by Dr Bello Haliru Mohammed.

Addressing members of the committee, Mu’azu charged them to work together as a team towards the successful conduct of the national convention, where President Goodluck Jonathan will be formally ratified as the presidential candidate of the party.

He said they have exhibited high level of commitment and loyalty to the party,

declaring that the national leadership of the party has confidence in their ability to organise a hitch-free convention.

Mu’azu, however, assured them of the support of the leadership of the party.

In his response, the chairman of the committee, Dr. Mohammed, said the task before the committee is a daunting one that requires them working 24 hours till the convention date.

He said notwithstanding the onerous task they will deliver on their mandate.

The convention committee chairman assured Mu’azu that the committee will commence work immediately they leave his office where the inauguration took place.
