Traders urge FCT minister to repair dilapidated roads in Zuba

Some traders in Zuba, Gwagwalada Area council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have appealed to the FCT Minister, Senator Bala Mohammed to repair many dilapidated access roads in the area, in order to alleviate plight of residents and motorists plying the roads.

They also called on the minister to provide potable drinking water for the residents, to relieve them of a lot of sufferings they are faced with especially during the dry season.

According to the chairman of the Okirika sellers in Zuba, Mr. Jibrin Shuaibu, who made this appeal in an interview with Peoples Daily, recently in Zuba, alleged that the inhabitants were being neglected by the government of the day, in terms of provision of basic amenities.

He therefore urged the minister to gear up towards the development of Zuba, so as to enable the residents feel the impact of the government in the area.

Furthermore, the leader of the traders pleaded with the Chairman of the Gwagwalada area council, Hon. Abubakar Jubrin Giri to upgrade the various markets in Zuba, to ensure that they meet up with the international standard.
