Gunmen kill 7 year old boy in southern Kaduna

It was pandemonium in Bomdong village in Kaura Local government Area of Kaduna State yesterday after gunmen stormed the area and killed a 7 year old boy.

The victim’s name was given as Gabriel Moses and that his mother narrowly escaped death.

Peoples Daily gathered that the gunmen attacked the village around 8:30 pm on Sunday night.

According to report, from the area when the gunmen entered the village they started shooting sporadically.

Confirming the incident, former Counselor in the area, Mr Donatus Shemang said what happened that night was horrific.

“The attackers shoot sporadically in the process; they shot the boy who was around 7-9 years old. I spoke with his father and he told me that they all slept in the bush.

“Even the boy’s mother escaped after she fainted and the gunmen thought she was dead when they came into the compound. Honestly, what is happening there is bad,” he said.

He explained that security agents arrived the scene in the morning after the attackers had left.

Contacted State Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Zubairu Abubakar said he will confirm the incident and get back to our reporter, but never did.
