Our correspondent gathered that this was contained in a report by the six-man committee which was set up under the chairmanship of Alhaji Magaji Ubabari, to look into the alleged misappropriation raised some members of the association.

He called on both officials and members of the association to co-operate with the chairman to move the Zuba fruits market to the next level.

However, he revealed that out of the N34million alleged to be embezzled by the chairman N24million was spent on developmental projects in the Zuba market.

He also disclosed that the remaining N9million was spent on the logistics.

According to him, the hitherto allegation of the financial misappropriation against the chairman by some members of the association was baseless and calculated attempt to tarnish his image.

The PRO therefore appealed to the entire members of Zuba fruits market to shun rumor-mongering which will cause underdevelopment to the market.
