Barely 24 hours to the closing of the sales for nomination forms to aspirants who wished to contest elections on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), son of former Military Head of State, General Sani Abacha has picked the form seeking to run for governor of Kano State.

The aspirant, Alhaji Mohammed Sani Abacha who stormed the PDP National Headquarters yesterday in company of several of his supporters who chanted ‘sai dan soja’ meaning “only the son of a military man”, in deference to the late Abacha.

Abacha, who spoke to the press immediately after he collected the form, said he is in the race to bring about change in the political arena of Kano State.

He however accused the present administration of Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso for overriding politicians and political parties by conducting and supervising an election that is anything other than credible.

He also spoke on how his name was miraculously removed from the list of those contesting for governorship in 2011 which he said denied him the opportunity he had all along nursed.
