Abba Kyari death drives home reality of Covid-19 – IPAC

The lnter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has expressed sadness and deep pain over the demise of the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mallam Abba Kyari yesterday.
In a statement issued by the chairman, Leonard Ezenwa, IPAC said the nation has lost a very high ranking member of this Administration to the dreaded Coronavirus disease.
“His demise brought forcefully home the grimmer reality of COVID-19. We must do all we can to take responsibility of ensuring that Nigerians subscribe to personal hygiene, social distancing, washing of hands regularly, using face masks etc.
“Coronavirus is real. The death of Abba Kyari has driven the danger of this disease. It is a wake up call for all Nigerians to rise up to fight the pandemic and obey government directives to contain its spread.
“Our heart goes out to the family of this great patriot who served the nation faithfully until his death. We empathize with them in this deep grieving moment.
In a related development, the leadership and members of African Action Congress (AAC) has expressed sadness over the death of Mallam Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a statement from the party signed by Leonard Ezenwa, the chairman, AAC said he was a man of enormous intellectual ability and political sagacity, observing that his death is a national tragedy.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with members of his family, President Buhari and his political associates, trusting God to console, comfort and strengthen them at this period of bereavement.
“The nation will miss his service at this perilous time all hands are deck to contain and control the ravaging Coronavirus pandemic and build a strong, virile, progressive and egalitarian democratic society”.
