An Environmental and climate change activist, Gloria Kasang Bulus, has expressed dismay over the environmental and public health crisis in the Kapam community in Chikun LGA, Kaduna State, due to the release of toxic chemicals from Kaduna Refinery and Petrochemical Company.
In a statement made available to the media yesterday in Kaduna, the activist observed that the released toxic chemicals are not only killing local wildlife but also devastating crops.
Bulus, who is the Executive Director of Bridge That Gap Initiative and Convener/Coordinator of the Network of Civil Society in Environment (NCSE), opined that alarming reports emerging from the Kapam community in Chikun LGA, Kaduna State, highlighted severe environmental and public health crisis that demands immediate attention.
