In an effort to promote investment potentials (opportunities), the Adamawa state government has established an investment promotion Agency along with its executive secretary.
Announcing the development through a press statement on Friday, the chief press Secretary to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Mr. Humwashi Wonosikou highlighted that, Governor Fintiri has approved conversion of the Adamawa Investment Promotion and Public-Private Partnership Coordinating Unit to the Adamawa Investment Promotion Agency (AIPA).
The statement explained that, the transformation aligns with the Gov.Fintiri administration’s commitment to fostering economic growth, attracting investments, and ensuring sustainable development across the state.
“The upgrade follows the passage of the Adamawa Investment Promotion Agency Law 2024, which was introduced officially and assented to by the Governor on December 4, 2024.
“Establishment of AIPA provides a solid legal framework to implement investment policies effectively, making Adamawa a more attractive destination for investors.
“Accordingly, Governor Fintiri appointed Halilu Hammawa Malabu as the Executive Secretary of AIPA, tasking him with the responsibility of driving the state’s investment agenda.
“The Governor congratulates Mr. Malabu on his appointment and expressed confidence in his ability to leverage his wealth of experience to reposition Adamawa as a business-friendly state.”
