Adamawa guber: Lawmakers, LG chairmen, councillors declare support for Fintiri

Aritical political stakeholders in Adamawa state, including members of the state Assembly, local government chairmen and councillors have thrown their weights behind Acting Governor of the state, Rt. Ahmadu Fintiri, ahead if the October 11 governorship bye election in the state.

Confirming their decision in a separate interview with Journalists recently in Yola, the chairman House of Assembly Committee on Information, HoN. Adamu Kamale and Chairman of the state branch of Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Alhaji Sahabo Aliyu, said they were in full support of the acting governor’s action because of his laudable achievements and zeal to move the state forward.

Kamale said the House was fully behind the acting governor and would work for his success.

“We thank God for this development. Adamawa is in a new era; the acting governor is a young man who has exhibited good intention for the state and deserved support to continue”, Kamale said.

On his part, the ALGON chairman, Alhaji Sahabo Aliyu, said the action of the acting governor was in order and council chairmen and councillors were fully behind him and would work for his success.

“We need somebody that can deliver and in just one month the acting governor has proved his worth.

“Being the people at the grassroots, we can feel how popular the acting governor is and have no reason not to support him”, Aliyu said.

The duo called on other stakeholders in the state to see reasons in the reality of the new chapter and accept the wind of positive change that will no doubt take Adamawa to the promised land.
