Senator Amos Yohanna of the Adamawa Northern Senatorial District has promised to do all it takes in providing devidends of democracy to his constituents.
Senator Yohanna who was inaugurated by the Senate after a court judgement sacking former Senator Ishaku Abbo made the promise during an interview with journalists in Yola, stressing that his constituents and Nigerians should expect responsible representation from him.
“Adamawa North Senatorial District should expect very responsible representation. They should expect that they have somebody who is there for them. They should know that they have somebody who will unite them to live in peace and have their desires properly addresses,” he said
He observed that despite the multiple challenges facing us as a country,there are many solutions to be use in tackling them headlong especially with the support and cooperation of all and sundry.
He therefore called on everyone including his immediate successor, Senator Abbo, to work with him in the interest of the people so that alot can achieve for good.
He said he had never sought to serve his personal ego but the common good, reiterating, “Mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and the general good of the people should always supercede individual egos. We should work together because we are after all one people.”
He expressed commitment to work with Governor Ahmadu Fintiri to ensure that all the people in his district who suffered attacks by Boko Haram elements are properly settled to their normal livelihoods.
