Three wanted notorious members of Shilla criminal syndicate allegedly terrorizing Yola metropolitan have been arrested by police in Adamawa state.
Spokesman of the state police command, SP Suleiman Nguroje disclosed the development in a press statement issued in Yola Thursday.
He noted that the Command’s bold step to reactivating its standard operational procedures (SOP) in preventing the activities of shilla Gangsterism and promote decency amongst our youths in the State yielded the success.
The statement added that, the apprehended suspects have been on the wanted list of the command for sometimes until now luck ran out of them.
According to the statement l, the suspects were; Zaiyat Abubakar, 29years,Hassan Buhari, 19years and Suleiman S Suleiman, 27years, all residents of Yola North local government area in the state.
“The suspects had on the 28/11/2024 Conspired and broke into the house of Bapetel Jidda and robbed his family members of their belongings using offensive weapons.
“Similarly on the 4/12/2024, the same gang broke into a shop situated along same area and stole many valuable items.
“Investigation, so far led to the recovery of Television sets, Standing fans, Stabilizers, Deep Refrigerator , Rock carpet amongst others”, the statement declared.
While urging the public to report any suspicious movements in their areas to security agencies, the Police assured that the suspects would be prosecuted after investigation.
