ADC factional chairman urges calm ahead of Supreme Court judgment

The factional National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe, has appealed to party members to remain calm, united and law-abiding as they await the reserved judgment of the Supreme Court.

Gombe commended members for their resilience and steadfast dedication to the ideals of the party amid lingering uncertainty over its leadership dispute.

In a goodwill message addressed to members, the factional chairman expressed appreciation for their patience, loyalty and commitment during the legal process, describing the period as a defining moment for the ADC.

He stressed that the moment calls for calm, unity and unwavering faith in the rule of law, adding that the party remains confident justice will prevail.

Gombe said, “I extend my warm greetings and profound appreciation to you all as we await the reserved judgment of the Supreme Court. This moment calls for calm, unity, and unwavering faith in the rule of law.

“As a law-abiding political party, we remain confident that justice will prevail and that the outcome will reaffirm the legitimacy of our leadership and the sanctity of our party’s constitution.

“I commend your patience, loyalty, and steadfast commitment to the ideals of the ADC throughout this period. Your resilience continues to strengthen our collective resolve to build a party founded on justice, internal democracy, and the true spirit of service.”

He further urged members to remain peaceful and focused on the party’s shared vision for Nigeria pending the court’s pronouncement.

“While we await the Court’s pronouncement, I urge every member to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and focused on our shared vision for Nigeria. Our schedule of activities shall be communicated through official channels immediately after judgment is delivered,” he added.

Gombe expressed optimism that the party would emerge stronger and more united after the Supreme Court ruling, positioning itself to provide credible leadership.
