In an effort to addressing manpower shortfall for formidable health care delivery services, the Adamawa state government has approved the recruitment of 600 more health workers in the state.

Executive Chairman of the Adamawa state primary health Care Development Agency(ADSPHCDA), Dr. Suleiman Saidu Bashir disclosed the development in an interactive session with selected journalists in Yola yesterday.

He stressed that the approval by the state executive council will go a long way in ensuring quality.

Dr. Bashir explained that last year Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri led administration employed 1,113 health workers and another set of 36 technical workers.

Bashir explained that the Agency is currently undertaking its various routine health care delivery services christened, ‘an integrated immunisation campaigns’ across the 21 local government areas in the state.
