Aggrieved APC members urged to bury hatchet

Aggrieved All Progressives Congress (APC) members have been urged to bury the hatchet to achieve victory in 2019 general elections.A joint statement by Oredo Council APC chairman, Mr. Godswill and his Publicity Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Aiguobasimwin, which was made to newsmen yesterday in Benin City has said.
The statement tasked the leadership of the party to begin the process of reaching out to aggrieved members of the party, and assist President Muhammadu Buhari to succeed in the task of governance.
They urged the former chairman of APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun and others “not withdraw their wise counsels from the newly elected party leaders.The duo assured that Adams Oshiomhole will bring his wealth of experience in the labour movement to bear for effective leadership.
According to him, “with Oshiomhole at the helm of affairs of APC, victory is assured in 2019. I urge all aggrieved members of APC to bury the hatchet, unite and work for APC victory in 2019 elections.”We also want the immediate past chairman of APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun for leading the party to victory in 2015. He should not hesitate to give his fatherly counsel to his successor,” the statement said.
