Erstwhile Governors of Benue State Chief Samuel Ortom and Senator Gabriel Suswam have agreed to sheath their sword ahead of the forthcoming local government election.
Recalled that the duo have been at daggers in the aftermath of the ward congress of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
At an expanded stakeholders meeting convened by the Care taker committee led by AVM Napoleon Bali rtd in Makurdi on Thursday, the two actors acceded to the fact the State chapter of the party was divided.
AVM Bali, explained that the meeting was to brief members of the party ahead of the forthcoming Local Government (LG), elections in the state.
While acknowledging the internal wranglings in the party,he however, expressed confident of imminent resolution.
AVM Bali encouraged party members to pick forms and contest the election, noting that the PDP would make an impact in the election.
