Aisha Yesufu tours FCT communities, lauds residents for solidarity

Prominent activist and politician, Mrs. Aisha  Yesufu continued her grassroots engagement across communities in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), meeting with Party officials, supporters, stakeholders, and residents in Kwali, Abaji, Gwagwalada, AMAC, Bwari and Kuje Area Councils to express appreciation for their support and commitment to her political aspiration. 

The engagement, which attracted supporters and community members, served as an opportunity for Yesufu to reconnect with the people, acknowledge their sacrifices, and reaffirm her dedication to the ideals of accountable leadership, citizen participation, and national development. 

Speaking during the visits, Yesufu thanked supporters for standing firmly with her throughout her quest to represent the FCT at the Senate.

She noted that despite the challenges and controversies surrounding the party’s decision regarding the FCT Senatorial ticket, the support she continues to receive from ordinary citizens remains a source of encouragement and motivation.

According to her, the movement has always been larger than any individual ambition, emphasizing that the ultimate objective remains the pursuit of good governance and the creation of opportunities that will improve the lives of Nigerians. 

The visits also provided a platform for meaningful interactions with community leaders, youth groups, women, and grassroots mobilizers who reiterated their confidence in her leadership and commitment to public service. 

While reflecting on the outcome of the party’s senatorial nomination process, supporters expressed concerns over what they described as the unjust denial of the FCT Senatorial ticket despite the widespread support enjoyed by Yesufu among party members and grassroots stakeholders. 

Nevertheless, they maintained that the development would not diminish their resolve to continue working towards the broader goal of national transformation. 

As part of the engagement, Yesufu called on supporters to remain united and focused on the larger mission of securing a better future for Nigeria.

She emphasized the importance of political participation, voter mobilization, and sustained grassroots organization as critical tools for achieving meaningful change. 

She further urged Nigerians to rally behind the collective vision championed by leading opposition figures, including and , stressing that the struggle for a prosperous, secure, and equitable Nigeria requires the active involvement of citizens at every level.

Observers noted that the engagements were not only aimed at appreciating loyal supporters but also at consolidating grassroots structures, strengthening community relationships, and mobilizing citizens ahead of future political activities. 

The meetings reinforced the growing belief among participants that collective action and responsible leadership remain essential ingredients for national progress. 

As the interactions concluded across the various Area Councils, supporters renewed their commitment to the movement and pledged to continue advocating for policies and leaders capable of delivering sustainable development, social justice, and economic prosperity for all Nigerians.

Stakeholders expressed optimism that continued collaboration among citizens, community leaders, and reform-minded political actors will contribute significantly to the realization of a better future for the country.
