Alleged N1.3b fraud: I was never arrested by EFCC — Says Apostle Ebonyi

The Apostle Theo Ebonyi of Faith on the Rock Ministry International has debunked publications circulating in the media claiming that he was arrested by the EFCC.

Apostle Ebonyi, of Faith on the Rock Ministry International, is alleged to have been involved in a N1.3bn fake Ford Foundation grants scheme.

The publication reads, “The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested the General Overseer of Faith On The Rock Ministry International, Apostle Theophilus Oloche Ebonyi, for defrauding his church members and other Nigerians using fake grants from the Ford Foundation to the tune of N1,319,040,274.31.”

In a swift response and statement made available to the press by the media team of Apostle Theo Ebonyi and Faith on the Rock Ministry International, it states, “The general public is hereby advised to disregard such publications; they are clearly the works of mischief-makers who are bent on misleading the public.
