The South South regional caucus of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has thrown its weight behind Victor Oye and Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, as the authentic national Chairman and candidate of the party in the November 6 governorship election.
In a statement issued yesterday by Anthony O. Eboka, APGA National Vice Chairman South-South, Bar. Ita Ekpo Bassey, National Deputy Legal Adviser, Engr. Sokari, National Deputy Treasurer, among others, they said rising from the Zonal meeting of APGA South-South Region, which was held at Asaba yesterday, the party expressed confidence in the pending court of appeal judgement coming up soon.
While it joined others to wish happy birthday to Governor Willie Obiano on His 66th birthday, the regional caucus, led by Anthony O. Eboka, while addressing the party faithful, recalled that it is not the first time that political detractors jealously attempted to disrupt and fraudulently highjack the party structures.
However, he said because APGA is a party built on heavenly bricks, the detractors have been failing and will still fail again before the week runs out.
The zonal Chairman finally called for calm by members in south-south, Nigeria and APGA world wide, saying that Victor Oye and Prof. Soludo shall laugh last.
