Interim National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Bisi Akande, has said yesterday that the party will investigate all cases of irregularities during the recently conducted states congresses across the country.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the 36 state chairmen of the party in Abuja, Akande said the party had received several complaints and protests on how some of the state chairmen emerged, and assured that the complaints will not be swept under the carpet.

“There are complaints and protest on how some of you emerged; we are not going to sweep these complaints under the carpet. We are going to continue with the investigation on how all of you emerged, and those of you who emerged not in accordance with the laid down guidelines of this party, will be thrown out”.

“It has happened before in this country when governors were inaugurated and the court discovered that they are not the actual winners of the election and they threw them out. So don’t think that you will not be investigated. If you have any thing to cover, APC is not the place”.

Only 35 state chairmen were inaugurated, while those of Kaduna and Katsina were declared inconclusive by the Interim National Chairman.
