A significant rally was held today at the Murtala Square in Kaduna, marking an important moment in the state’s political landscape.
The event attracted thousands of party supporters and featured the official defection of several lawmakers from opposition parties to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The rally was led by Governor Uba Sani, Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, and APC National Chairman Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda. It served as a clear indication of the party’s growing strength and unity.
Governor Uba Sani expressed his pleasure at the increasing number of defectors, attributing this trend to the APC’s inclusive leadership and people-centered governance model.
He assured the new members that they would enjoy equal opportunities and privileges, emphasizing that the party operates as a united family without discrimination.
The Governor highlighted his administration’s commitment to justice, fairness, and inclusivity, which he believes has contributed to relative peace and harmony in the state.
He acknowledged prominent figures who recently joined the APC, including former Governor Ramalan Yero, Senator Shehu Sani, Senator Andrew Makarfi Malar, and Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi, among others.
He assured them that the party remains dedicated to delivering on its promises of fairness, equity, and good governance.
Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon. Abbas Tajudeen praised Governor Sani’s leadership style, noting that it has positioned Kaduna as a model of unity and progress in Northern Nigeria.
APC National Chairman Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda also lauded Governor Sani’s leadership, describing him as a bridge-builder who has strengthened the party’s structure across all local governments.
The rally concluded with a pledge of loyalty to Governor Sani’s leadership and a commitment to secure sweeping victories in the upcoming elections. The event showcased the party’s unity and strength, as well as its determination to continue fulfilling its promises to the people of Kaduna.
