• As party releases timetable for primary elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) late on Monday released its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 primary elections.
This is contained in the Schedule of Activities signed by the Party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu. The timetable outlines, among other activities, timelines for screening, appeals, and primary elections, as well as directives on the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms.
The APC in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary (NPS), Felix Morka reassured members, stakeholders, and all Nigerians of its commitment to conducting a credible and transparent primary election that will further strengthen the party’s internal democracy and consolidate its progressive ideals.
Details of the schedule includes that the office of President will attract N30m for the expression of interest forms, while the form goes for N70m.
For the office of the governor, the expression of interest form attracts the sum of N10m, while the form costs N40m.
For the senatorial seats, aspirants will part with N3m for the expression of interest forms while the forms cost N17m. Similarly, the House of Representatives position attracts the sum of N10m, with the expression of interest forms going for N1m, while the nomination forms goes for N9m.
Those who want to purchase the State House of Assembly forms will have to part with a total sum of N6m, with the expression of interest forms costing N1m while the nomination forms attracting the sum of N15m.
Under the arrangement, the presidential election primary election will hold between May 15 and May 16 2026, the governorship primaries are scheduled for May 24, while the National Assembly primaries will hold between May 20 and 21, 2026.
The party has also fixed the primaries for the State Assembly tickets for May 23.
Sales of nomination forms will begin on April 25 at the National Secretariait of the party and will run to May 2, 2026.
