…As party hands over flags to Gombe LGA’s candidates

From David Hassan, Gombe

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has boasted that the ruling party has established an unshakeable track record of victory and will remain the absolute party to beat in the 2027 general elections.
Yilwatda made the confident assertion on Wednesday in Gombe during an official ceremony to hand over party flags to 24 chairmanship candidates contesting in Saturday’s Local Government Area (LGA) and Local Council Development Area (LCDA) elections.
The National Chairman, who arrived in the state alongside key members of the party’s National Working Committee, noted that the APC remains dedicated to running an inclusive government focused on serving the interests of all Nigerians.
“APC has always been on the winning side, and we will continue to do so,” Yilwatda declared, expressing absolute confidence in the party’s governance strategy.
Addressing a massive gathering of party faithful, Professor Yilwatda implored the electorate to completely tune out misleading narratives from opposition parties aimed at downplaying the achievements of the federal administration.
He assured citizens that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is working tirelessly through the “Renewed Hope” agenda to stabilize the economy and bring lasting smiles to the faces of Nigerians.
As a testament to the federal government’s commitment to regional infrastructure, the National Chairman revealed that President Tinubu has directed the immediate flag-off of the reconstruction of the major highway linking Akwanga, Jos, Bauchi, and Gombe states.
Yilwatda also lauded Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, for his visible infrastructural footprints, specifically praising the state’s massive urban road network.
Earlier in the day, the national leadership visited Kwadon in the Yamaltu/Deba Local Government Area to commission a new market constructed by the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA).
Responding, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya appreciated the national leadership’s strategic visit and reiterated that Gombe remains an impregnable stronghold for the ruling party.
The Governor pledged that Gombe would not only deliver a clean sweep for the APC in Saturday’s local government polls but would also serve as a frontline driver in securing a decisive second-term victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
