The Northern Inter-Tribal and Inter-Religion Alliance For Peace,Unity and Development has urged the leadership of All Progressive Congress APC to consider the present Executive Secretary of Nigerian Christian Pilgrimage (NCP) Yakubu Pam as Vice Presidential Candidate to Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu in the forthcoming general election.
Addressing journalists in Abuja yesterday, its National Secretary, Hon. Aron Mike Odeh, who spoke on behalf of the group said *We are appealing to APC leadership to consider Pam to be appointed as running mate to Tinubu.”
He said Pam always takes into serious consideration federal character principles by making sure that every segment of the country is fully involved in running the affairs of the commission.
“Pam is well blessed and well equipped with unimaginable intellectual capacity that will no doubt be of great help to the presidential flag bearer of APC, which shall significantly be used to transform Nigeria when chosen as running mate to the presidential flag bearer.
“No doubt many names might have been flying around by so many political juggernaut and jobbers, but as a well organized voluntary organization, we are not against such a move, in view of the fact that we are in democratic era”, he said.
He however, noted that the organization is not championing any religion ahead of others, saying in all, almost every home in Nigeria, both Christian and Muslims as well as other religions had been living peacefully.
