Hundreds of youths loyal to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from across the country have met for sensitization and getting equipped with strategies to mobilise other youths at the grassroots level for the victory of their candidate, General Mohammadu Buhari, in the next month’s election.

Addressing the APC youth leaders and different groups yesterday at a sensitisation seminar organised by the party’s National Youth leader, who is also the director, youth mobilisation for Buhari campaign team, Alhaji Ibrahim Jalo Dasuki, said that there was the need for synergy among the youths to ensure that the outcome of the poll is a reflection of the wishes of the electorate.

Jalo said that the youths constitutes the bulk of the electorate, adding that it behooves on the youths who are at the receiving end of bad governance in the polity to ensure the defeat of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the poll.

He insisted that the APC presidential candidate, Maj-Gen Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) has the wherewithal to take the country out of the woods.

“We have to do everything possible to change the PDP, the PDP has failed Nigeria. Today we have somebody in the person of Buhari who is honest, very competent, and purposeful to solve our problems. We owe it a duty to take our destiny in our hands and this is the time God has given us that opportunity.”

Also speaking, Deputy Director of the Buhari Campaign Council, Sen. Olorunmbe Mamora, acknowledged that the youths, women as well as persons with disability remain the most critical agents of change in the society.

He charged the youths to redouble their efforts aimed at mobilizing Nigerians to exercise their franchise in favour of the APC’s presidential candidate, Maj-Gen Muhammadu Buhari (rtd).

He said: “The greatest thing for Gen. Mohammadu Buhari is moral authority, that is the greatest thing going for him, and that is what you need to effect change because if you as an individual is a thief, you have no moral authority to call somebody else a thief.
