Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa representing Zamfara Central at the Senate yesterday dismissed claims that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would disintegrate as a result of the clash of interests between the three powerful Presidential aspirants under the platform of the party.

Marafa, who was speaking to newsmen at his ‘Yandoto home town in Tsafe local government area during a thank you visit paid by the NUJ Chairman, Ibrahim Muhammad Kanoma, over the installations of two units of security lights at the NUJ state secretariat premises, disagreed with the predictive analysis that APC would no longer remain a united registered party after the conduction of its Presidential primary elections.

He contended that the three aspirants comprising former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, former head of state, General Muhammadu Buhari and the incumbent Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano state, were politically matured to understand the aims of rivalry towards wining presidential tickets.

He described as malicious insinuations suggesting that the tussle for the Presidential ticket between the three would eventually signal the end of the road for the APC especially considering the political records of the two of them which emanated from the alleged self-centredness and absolute disloyalty that smoked them out of the ruling PDP.

“Both the Presidential aspirants under the APC were satisfied and agreed to come together and share their political experiences upon which vibrant strategies would be put in action to rescue the country from sinking”, Marafa added.

He further stated that, “APC is not just a political party to wrestle power, but a school of thought that has been established by the concerned citizens of this country, embedded deeply in their minds aiming at rescuing the collapsing economy”.
