In what could be regarded as “The Pastors Also Watch football” manager of English Premiership club side, Arsenal, Mikel Arteta has come under the hammer following the side’s 1-1 draw against Leicester City in one of the EPL Matches played Tuesday.
The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman blamed Arteta’s poor substitution timing on the gunners lost two appoints at home to the former champions.
In the matchday 34 in the EPL played at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal saw their Champions League qualification hopes dented after they threw away a one-goal lead to share the spoils with the visitors, Leicester City.
Arsenal took the lead in the 21st minute of the encounter through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and held on till late in the second half before they capitulated with the sending off of Eddie Nketiah in the 75th minute of the encounter.
Willock and Nketiah came on for Lacazette and Saka in the 70th minute respectively but Nketiah could last only for five minutes in the pitch.
Nketiah lunged at a bouncing ball in the centre circle and caught Justin at the top of his left shin. It didn’t look malicious, just mistimed, but it was certainly dangerous which made the referee to opt for a yellow card but VAR was called in and after a review, he was sent off.
Jamie Vardy made the Foxes’ numerical advantage count as he equalised with 6 minutes of duration left.
Reacting to the draw, the Senior Pastor and General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, bemoaned Arteta’s poor substitution decision and attributed the lost two points to the red card.
“Arteta really needs to work on his substitution/timing,” he said.
“Red card caused us this game…But then, we fight till the end. We are the Arsenal!..COYG!!! (Come On You Gunners).”
Arsenal occupies 7th position on the table with 50 points while Leicester are 4th with 59 points.
