Following the recent threat by Native Doctors in Anambra State to make public names of Pastors and other people who allegedly seek help for them, the Senior Pastor of House of Purpose Ministry in Kaduna, Apostle Yakubu Yusuf, has disclosed that any Pastor, Minister, or worker in the House of God who consult diabolical powers in their thirst for power is unfit to serve in God’s Kingdom.
He asserted this during the celebration of his 53rd birthday yesterday, saying that Jesus is enough power for every man called by God, and anyone who believes in Jesus will know that power gotten through diabolical means is fake.
According to him, People who do that are a disgrace to the Body of Christ, and at the same time, it is a clear indication that such kind of Pastors may not be genuine or called Pastors by God.
“Any Pastor who does such is an abuse to the message of Jesus because Jesus is enough power for every pastor. The Bible tells us that, you shall receive power after the Holy Ghost comes upon you, not after you go to babalawo or traditionalists to receive power.
“Now, it is easy to become a Pastor, but not all Pastors are Christians; you must be a Christian before you become a Pastor. So, the problem we are having is that they have a title but no encounter. A leader that doesn’t fear God will not have the people at heart. But the leader who knows and fears God, will do what God expects from him and carry the people along.
“That’s why the Bible tells us, come to me all ye that are burdened and heavy ladened, and I will give you rest. So there is no help outside Christ, no hope outside Christ, no peace outside Christ, and if everybody can return to Jesus in a time like this, I believe we shall all be saved.
Drawing inspiration from the Book of Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 he said “Everybody should have the fear of God.
“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.”
Furthermore, Apostle Yakubu shared a brief story about his journey in ministry, saying that his life is an example of the life of Joseph in the Bible who journeyed with the presence of God and succeeded throughout his life.
