AREWA LG endorses Dakingari for Senate

The people of Arewa Local Government Area of Kebbi State have yesterday endorsed Governor Usman Saidu Dakingari for the senate under Kebbi North Senatorial district in the forthcoming 2015 general election.

Endorsing him at Kangiwa on Sunday the headquarters of Arewa local government, the Secretary to the State Government [SSG] who is also the leader of the endorsement, Nura Usman Kangiwa said that Dakingari deserved any political position following his landmark achievement recorded in the area and the state at large.

“Our people decided to call on the governor to come out and contest for the senate because of the dividends of democracy he provided to the people of Arewa, he has done a lot to us such as road construction, electricity, construction of health care center and provision of portable water’’ he explained.

Nura who was the first person to endorse governor Dakingari, described the Dakingari administration as a transparent and prudent government which followed the due process and respect the rule of law.

“He is an honest man and a leader with a good mission and vision; he is also a leader that eradicate corruption and maintained the rule of law’’ he said.

Peoples Daily gathered that Dakingari who came from the same zone with the present Senator Issa Galaudu, has about six local governments under his constituency.

Also speaking, the local government chairman and also the organizer of the occasion, Eng. Ahmed Tanko expressed satisfaction over the turnout of the people adding that this showed that people appreciated what the governor has done for them.

He explained further that people of Arewa have no other candidate than Dakingari, and they are ready to follow his words for any candidate he brought to succeed him as a Governor of the state.

Disclosing Dakingari’s achievements in the area, the chairman said that the over one billion naira road from Birnin Kebbi to Kangiwa has been constructed, including all the linkage roads to border areas, with electricity provided, health centers, as well as the purchase of drugs.

Addressing newsmen shortly after the endorsement, Hassan Zango Kangiwa who also donated two million naira cash to the organizer of the programme, commended the Governor Dakingari administration for providing them with dividends of democracy, assuring him of their support and cooperation toward actualizing his dream.
