Pa. Dr. Olusola Ajolore, a former university lecturer, farmer, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International (FGBMFI) – Nigeria, marked his landmark 100th birthday with a powerful call for national renewal, unity, and generational responsibility.

Speaking during a centenary media engagement, the elder statesman reflected on a century of history, having witnessed colonial rule, independence, the Civil War, military regimes, and multiple democratic eras to deliver a message centered on hope and civic duty.

“Reaching 100 is, first and foremost, a privilege for which I give thanks to God.

“I remain convinced of one thing: Nigeria is worth saving, worth serving, and worth believing in,” Ajolore stated.

He outlined critical areas requiring immediate national focus and individual action.

He urged leaders, businesses, and citizens to shift from asking what the country can do for them to actively contributing to nation-building.

Emphasizing that insecurity goes beyond policing, he advocated for safeguarding farmers and treating agriculture as a modern economic sector to boost food security and job creation.

Highlighting his background as an educator, he stressed that education must build both technical competence and moral integrity to act as a long-term defense against crime.

He called on those in authority to uphold integrity and discipline, reminding the nation that laws alone cannot transform a country without principled leadership.

Dr. Ajolore encouraged young people to avoid frustration and build skills, while challenging the older generation to provide them with real opportunities rather than mere criticism.

Closing his address, the centenarian called on all citizens to work toward a nation where leadership is defined by service and every Nigerian can live with dignity.

“Nigeria has enormous potential, but potential will not build a nation. People must,” Dr. Ajolore concluded.
