Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi, needs over 30 billion naira to avoid risk of being in a sorry state.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Ibrahim Hassan Garba, made this known while speaking to newsmen.
He said, “As the Vice Chancellor of the University, I am tasked with finding this amount of over 30 billion naira, and God willing, we will get it, because if we do not get it within two to three years, the university could be in a difficult situation.
He said, “As the Vice Chancellor of the University, my main concern is to get enough money to run the university itself, the information we have gathered indicates that if the university does not get enough money of about 30 billion Naira, it will be a problem.
“This money will be used to run the university and find a way to change the system. What we are doing, especially the way children study, is to re-establish the system of providing scientific research laboratories, engineering training rooms, workshops, and improving the living environment of the students”.
