Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago has advocated on the need for the Management of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC, Minna Area office to improve its service delivery.

The Governor stated this at the round table discussion with the officials of the AEDC at the government house, Minna.

Governor Bago also expressed concern that in terms of power supply, procurement of power infrastructure and installation, the AEDC has not been efficient and effective.

He said his administration has expended so much in the power sector, adding that it has procured over 1,000 transformers across the State in the past 3 months just to make life easier for the people.

The Governor said that AEDC will refund the State either in cash or in power supply as it is its responsibility to provide the needed infrastructure for power.

He also directed the Commissioner for Power and Renewable Energy to ensure amoured cable is provided to Gbeganu community around Sir Block Industry area to enable them enjoy power supply.
