The Balogun (Warrior) of Yoruba Community in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Oladele Alaka Ogboni, who is also the Managing Director of Omo Obokun Blocks Industry, has charged the Chairman of the Area Council, Hon. Abubakar Jubrin Giri to rehabilitate the dilapidated roads in the area.
He also urged the Chairman to purchase transformers for some communities in order to boost the electricity supply there.
Balogun, who gave the charge while speaking to Peoples Daily correspondent in Gwagwalada on Saturday, also pleaded with the Chairman to produce potable drinking water for the residents of Gwagwalada Area Council.
Ogboni then called on Yoruba to come together for the overall development of Yoruba Community in Gwagwalada and the FCT at large.
He appealed to the entire Yoruba residing in Gwagwalada and its environs to continue to support the leadership of Chief of Yoruba in Gwagwalada, Oba Muraina Boladele for the sake of peace and oneness.
He, therefore, expressed with joy that Yoruba are peace-loving people anywhere they live, adding that Yoruba are not trouble makers.
According to Balogun, I am proud to be a Yoruba man, saying that if I come to this world again, I will remain as a Yoruba man.
