Armed bandits have kidnapped at least ten people — among them four pregnant women — following an attack on Unguwan Kawo, a community in Erena, Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.

Local sources said the attackers invaded the village on Wednesday, firing sporadically before seizing their victims.

The incident has heightened fear in the community, forcing many residents to flee for their safety.

Security agencies have not yet released an official statement regarding the attack.

Meanwhile, community leaders are appealing for swift government intervention to rescue the abducted persons and strengthen security across the area.
