Tragedy struck in Unguwar Sarki Sheme village in Faskari local government area of Katsina state as bandits kill 10 person in a night attack on the village.
A resident of the town who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity said the attackers in large number invaded the town around 11:00pm Wednesday.
He added that out of the nine persons killed nine were adults with families and one young man.
According to him the dare devil bandits have injured several persons and carted away livestocks.
The source noted that they are currently mobilizing security personnel to provide cover for the burial of those killed.
He added that they are still conducting head count as some of the residents fled into a nearby bush during the attack.
Our correspondent gathered that the 10 persons killed were buried on Thursday afternoon.
