A banker, Geoffrey Joachim, yesterday appeared in a Wuse Zone 2 Senior Magistrates’ court, Abuja, for alleged criminal breach of trust and cheating.

Joachim, 27, who resides at Plot 351 FHA Karu Site, Abuja, was alleged to have collected N1.354,620 million from four retirees to perfect their retirement pension which he never did.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Abdullahi Adamu, said Umar Abdulkareem of No. 10 Nuriala Mohammed Way, R/West Kaduna, and three others lodged a report against the accused at the police station on May 16.

Adamu said that sometime in 2013 the complainants gave Joachim N1, 354, 620 to help them perfect their retirement pension.

He said the surety must be someone with reliable source of livelihood, and be resident within the jurisdiction of the court with a traceable residential address.
