Barcelona move to bring back Messi to Camp Nou

Date:

LaLiga president Javier Tebas admits he would like to see Lionel Messi back at Barcelona.

The Argentine left Barca in the summer for French giants PSG but things haven’t gone as many people expected with reports indicating that he wasn’t happy in France.

In an interview with ESPN, Tebas said Messi still has a lot to offer in football and would like to see him back in Spain as it would be a good economic move for the club and the league.

“I think he’s got two or three years left at a really good level. At 80 percent of what we’ve seen he’s still at the highest level. The marriage between Messi and Barcelona was perfect and I think reconciliation would generate important economic synergies for both sides. It would be good, economically,” Tebas said.

The absence of Messi and Ronaldo in Laliga had a dent of its own in the Spanish league and there are reports that Tebas and his team are working around the clock to have the next generation of stars in their competition for market purposes.

Already, Kylian Mbappe is strongly being linked with a move to Real Madrid with Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund linked with Barcelona.
