The Abductors of 72 years old former Accountant General to the Bauchi State Government, Alhaji Baffa Tilde have finally been killed.
A security source and members of his family confirmed that Tilde was killed by his abductors.
Security source, said the abductors looked like assassinators because they did not make any demand after he was abducted last Saturday, they remained quite without contact.
Residents of the area said his abductors brought him close to Eid praying ground on a motorcycle and shot him three times on his head, abandoned his corpse and fled.
They said sounds of the shooting caused fear among the residents in the area.
Family source said the abductors demanded for ransom to free him; they were in the process of negotiating before they killed him.
The funeral Prayer of Late Tilde took place Thursday morning at the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Suleiman Adamus palace led by the chief Imam of Bauchi, Alhaji Bala Ahmed.
The chief Imam prayed to Allah to forgive his sins and grant him eternal rest.
A family member of the deceased and North East Zonal Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Alhaji Sani Al’amin Mohammed said the deceased died at the age of 72, he left behind three wives, 27 children and over 100 grand children.
He said he has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
