Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has explained that his administration is set to conduct local government elections in six months from now, saying it is in line with his commitment to providing dividends of democracy and improving living standard of citizens especially at the rural areas.
Governor Bala stated this at the Multipurpose indoor Sports hall Bauchi, yesterday during the swearing ceremony of the 20 local government chairmen caretaker committee and their deputies.
He said since its inception, the PDP administration under his watch in the state has recorded tremendous successes in the execution of projects aimed at upgrading the living standard of citizens despite the economic challenges.
He advised the Caretaker Committee Chairmen to work together with relevant stakeholders in line with the provision of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
