Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State has approved the composition of a Governing Board for the Bauchi State Water Board as part of efforts to address problem of Water Supply in the state.
In a statement signed by the Governor’s Spokesman, Dr Ladan Salihu indicated that, Alhaji Hamza Koshe Akuyam is the Chairman of the board.
Members of the board are, the General Manager of the Board, Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Water Resources, Engineer Usman Aliyu M Shira and Engineer Garba Aliyu Bagel.
Others are Alhaji Hafiz Maiauduga to represent the State Chamber of Commerce, Mines and Agriculture and Mrs Lydia M Shehu to represent consumers.
According to the statement, the board is expected to rise to and address the problem of acute water supply in the state.
