Bayelsa United coach, Solomon Ogbeide is confident the Yenagoa based side will not be relegated at the end of the Glo Premier League season. Bayelsa United are currently placed among the bottom teams on the league table and would need a miracle to survive a drop to the Nigeria National League. Ogbeide who joined the team in the second round of the season is optimistic they will pull through and remain as one of the Premier League club next season. “I have implicit confidence in the ability of the players to deliver. I have stayed with them for sometime now and I know the stuff they are made of.
That is why I am confident that Bayelsa United would not be one of the teams that will drop down to the lower league. We recruited some new players and they have adjusted well to how we want them to play. Our position may not be good presently, but we are going to improve tremendously in subsequent matches. It won’t be easy, but we are ready to battle it through because Bayelsa United is not one of the teams that should be playing in the National League. One thing is sure. Bayelsa United will remain in the Premier League and even finish in a respectable position on the League Table,” Ogbeide boasted.
