Benue ADC crisis deepens as party slam suspension on Tsegba, Jev, Okwu others

The State Leadership of African Democratic Congress, ADC, Benue State has affirmed the suspension of Senator Emmanuel Yisa Orker-Jev, Hon. Terngu Tsegba, Hon. Samson Okwu, Barr. Herman Hembe and Barr Alex Ter Adum for violating the party’s Constitution.
The party also rejected the national leadership headed by Sen David Mark as chairman and Rauf Aregbesola as secretary.
While briefing newsmen on Wednesday, State chairman of ADC Elias Adikwu stated categorically that the party has not conducted any state congress pending the expiration of the current executives.
He maintained that the ruling of the Appeal Court on the ADC leadership suit and INEC’s directives on ADC congresses and convention is very clear and simple and is binding on the party in Benue State.
Elias said the leadership of ADC in the State duly respect the decision of INEC by not engaging in any congress activities in the state, and did not participate in the purported convention held in Abuja on April 14th, 2026, pending further directives from INEC and NEC which shall be constituted in due time.
