A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Benue Hon. Adah Anthony Adah has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Working Committee, NWC of the party to quickly intervene in the ongoing leadership crisis in the State.
It should be noted that the APC in tht State is factionalized along loyalists of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Sen. George Akume and Governor Hyacinth Alia that has resulted in two(2) chairmen .
Embittered by this ugly development, Hon Adah who expressed his concerns during an interview with newsmen in Makurdi, urged the President to without waste of time, summon Benue APC Stakeholders to Abuja and give them stern warning to correct the abnormality.
He cautioned that if this is left unattended to, the build up to 2027 election may witness blood bath, lamenting at the already existing hatred amongst members of the same family who now look at themselves as sworn enemies.
The former Youth leader and Director of Operation for Alia/Ode 2023 Governorship Campaign Organization for Zone C,decried the way and manner the recent peace and reconciliation meeting organized by the paramount ruler, the Tor Tiv HRH James Ayatse was treated with levity.
He said, “recently there was this arrangement, that is the peace reconciliation that was organized by the Tor Tiv and I think it was a well calculated and timely intervention to bring about peace.”
