Benue Govt laments neglect of IDPs

Benue State government has continued to lament over neglect of Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, by the Federal Government.

Executive Secrerary, State Emergency Management Agency Dr. Emmanuel Shior made the lamentation while briefing journalists during the monthly distribution of relief materials to IDPs camps in the State.

He noted that IDPs especially in Borno are enjoying support from the federal government and other International 

Humanitarian Partners, while the State IDPs are sidelined.

According to him, while over 200 International Humanitarian Partners are intervening in Borno, only 10 are partnering with the State.

Shior also, decried the lack of adequate security by the federal government in the camps.
