Governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue state has warned aspirants for the state governorship position in 2015 to restrain their supporters from engaging in violent acts, threatening that the party reserves the right to stop them from contesting for any misconduct.

He also urged the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) leadership in the state to immediately institute a code of conduct for all its aspirants gunning for elective positions in the State.

The governor who gave the order at the weekend during the decamping ceremony of erstwhile Speaker of the State Assembly and former member of the House of representative for Kataina/Ukum/Logo federal constituency, Hon. David Mzenda Iho, from the All Progressive Congress (APC) to the ruling party lamented over the manner some supporters of governorship aspirants have been molesting elders of the party.

Suswam further assured that the party will provide level playing field, expressing confidence that it will remain the dominant party in the State in 2015.
