The Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Creativity, Rt. Hon. Terkimbi Ikyange has passionately sued for peace in the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN Benue State chapter.
Ikyange who made the appeal when he met with the two factional groups in his office in Tuesday, urged them to sheath their swords and promote friendship and unity.
He said they stand to gain a lot from been united, assuring that government is willing to partner with SWAN to enhance development of Sports in the State.
While brokering truce between the two factions whose tenure have elapsed, the Sports Commissioner suggested that an electoral committee be constitutes to conducted election within one month.
Members nominated a former National Treasurer Terkula Atom who is to serve as chairman, Uche Nnorom, Peoples Daily Correspondent, Secretary and a veteran Journalist Deacon Babs Usigbe, member.
