The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations, Abubakar Kabir Bichi, has met with All Progressives Congress (APC) members of the Kano State House of Assembly and 40 party candidates to discuss strategies ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting, held on Sunday evening, November 1, 2026, at Bichi’s office in Bichi Local Government Area of Kano State, focused on coordinating campaign activities and strengthening collaboration among party stakeholders.
The gathering was attended by APC lawmakers and candidates, led by the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibril Ismail Falgore.
Bichi, who represents Bichi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, said the meeting provided an opportunity to deliberate on strategies for the party’s participation in the 2027 elections.
He said discussions centred on coordinating political activities to secure electoral support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and other APC candidates.
In a statement after the meeting, Bichi described the deliberations as fruitful, noting that participants discussed key political issues and agreed on the need for unity and cooperation.
He expressed appreciation to the Speaker and other lawmakers for attending the meeting, stressing that unity among party members would be important to their preparations for the forthcoming elections.
The meeting forms part of ongoing political consultations among APC stakeholders in Kano ahead of the 2027 general elections.
