Boko Haram kills 2, kidnapped 3 in Yobe

Terrorists suspected to be Boko Haram killed two construction workers and kidnapped three grasshopper hunters at the Kukareta village, Maiduguri road of Damaturu local government area of Yobe State.
The terrorists arrived at the village around 3:00 am and started shooting sporadically before they kidnapped three persons who came to the town to hunt for grasshoppers.
Alhaji Lawan Babagana, a district head of the village told our reporter that the Boko Haram razed his house, 504 Peugeot car; killed two and kidnapped three people he was hosting.
“They stormed the town around 3:00am on Sunday shooting sporadically, they set my house on fire, razed my 504 Peugeot car, and also destroyed one house in the town.”
Additionally, the district head said, there were five people in his house; two of them were construction workers brought by the Northeast Development Commission from Adamawa, for the construction of Kukareta Market.
He added: “As you know, as a traditional ruler, I used to host people that come to my domain. These Boko Haram brought these 2 workers out of my house and shot them instantly.
“There are three grasshopper hunters, that I was hosting in my house. They (terrorists) handcuffed, and kidnapped the hunters in the vehicle of vigilantes, which was parked at my house.
“The police operatives have evacuated the remains of the construction workers to a specialist hospital in Damaturu.”
